As Lead Strategist for the USAID EDGE collaboration with BongoHive, I led a national initiative focused on digitizing Zambia’s rural agricultural SMEs through technology.
My role involved designing and directing the strategic framework of the project—from identifying key digital gaps in agribusiness to implementing hands-on solutions that empowered over 200 SMEs across regions like Lusaka, Kabwe, and Chipata. I crafted a blended approach of training, advisory, and digital enablement to ensure practical and sustainable transformation.
Working closely with SME owners and agripreneurs, I developed digital literacy toolkits, guided online presence creation through platforms like Google My Business and Facebook Marketplace, and offered tailored strategies for market reach, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
This project not only accelerated digital adoption among underserved rural businesses but also reaffirmed my commitment to using strategy and technology to create lasting economic impact.
